Hey! My name is Taylor Kriebel and I live in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, a small town outside of Philadelphia in Delaware County, Delco for short. I currently work at Ulta Beauty in the Springfield mall, a makeup, skin care, and hair care store, as a beauty advisor and cashier. I'm also currently attending my first year at Delaware County Community College as a temporary part-time liberal arts major. I chose Delaware County because I thought it was the smartest option cost wise and it's in a comfortable spot for me to commute to without being too far or too close to home. My main goal is to attend DCCC until I receive the credits I need and to get a certificate in Studio Art, then transfer to Drexel University to major in and receive my bachelor's in Psychology, end result being an Art Therapist. In high school (Upper Darby High School class of 2018 to be exact. Go royals.), I had a great connection with all of my art teachers and they all inspired me to pursue art in my career whatever it be, along with the drive and love for drawing and painting I've had since I was as young as I could remember. I also always had a fascination for Psychology, like mental illnesses, the mind, how it works and what separates an individual's mind from others. These two passions made me wonder if I could combine them and sure enough I could when I stumbled across Art Therapy on the Drexel University's website. Who knew I could find my dream job by just clicking a link! Enough about important stuff, I have to add the fact that I love animals, Pugs and Sloths to be specific. I spend most if not all of my free time watching videos of funny animals on youtube as well as makeup related videos, I have a passion for makeup as well. I have some animals of my own, two dogs, two cats and a turtle- not all in the same house though thankfully, my parents separated when I was younger so I did live in two separate houses. My family is pretty huge because of this which is a blessing and a curse, I have amazing stepparents now and 3 little brothers all under age 10, making me the oldest and the only product of my mom and dad. As of right now though, I do stay with my boyfriend, DK and his wonderful family. He's my best friend, my rock and keeps me from crashing and burning. To conclude, I plan to grow in my English Composition class by leaving with a different and more positive outlook on writing rather than dreading it when it comes time to do so. I hope to grasp new concepts and techniques that'll improve my writing process in future classes and studies. Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me! If you found me fascinating enough where you want to know more about my personality you can visit my Proust Questionnaire answers, as well as more about my writerly identity, read my blog post, "Composing a Present Scene."
